Growing up with a single mom who struggled daily, yet did things like making a point to get portraits done at least twice a year, the ground work for me appreciating photos was laid early on.
I grew up with photos taken regularly, yet never felt comfortable in front of a camera.
If this sounds like you, I hear you and I have been there too!
As a young adult I hid from the camera and honestly thought I was not "photogenic". But I found a secret over the years that I'll share with you, we are all photogenic!!! With a little guidance and practice the difference is astounding, and I'm here to help with that!
PS, I still have those portraits mom loved so much, and to me that feels so very special.
welcome
Portraits, to me, carry so much magic and power.
Have you ever looked at a portrait and felt like you were in a different time and space? Had a moment where you heard a loved one's laugh floating to your ears?? recalled a loved one's embrace??
Have you ever looked at a portrait and simply felt honestly loved?? Even if it's a portrait of just you??
From my experience, portraits have the power to completely change the way we see ourselves and can be a reminder to those we love that we were here and loved them fiercely while we were!
One day we won't be here. Will your loved ones have a portrait to remind them of your laugh? Of how it felt to see you smile at them?
When was your last portrait??
